We have been spending a lot of time outside...a lot! I wish I could grumble about it, but it's been awesome. Knowing that the freezing cold days of Winter are behind us and the scorching days of Summer are ahead of us just makes me appreciate these temperate days even more. We're not stuck in the house. We're not snowed in. We're just outside being happy and it's awesome.
We walk up slides.
We slide down slides...together in a big heap of Craziness.
We find fluffy little dandelion stems and make tons of wishes.
We don't tell our wishes though or they won't come true.
We run.
We take walks.
We dig...a lot. My days of thinking my backyard would look nice are gone. It's nothing but dirt piles and holes for now.
We ride our quads.
We ride our trikes.
We take our strollers for a walk.
We mow the entire neighborhood's grass.
We giggle.
We scream at birds.
We run from bees.
We play basketball...with soccer balls.
We lay with Mommy and watch the clouds go by.
We drive with the windows open.
We peel layers of clothes off.
We find our shorts.
We learn how to use screen doors (without having them close too quickly on our tushies).
We run in and out to use the potty.
We long for the day when it will be warm enough to use the sprinkler.
We randomly take our shoes and socks off at a baseball field because, let's face it, it looks like a huge sandbox!
We get other kids to do it too.
We're always ready for a picnic.
We hug trees...literally (this is my method for them not running into traffic in the gym parking lot).
We remember how to use the swings.
We figure out a new way to use them (see video below for unfettered laughter).

Ilove how you're enjoying the outdoors because of the good weather - we need to get out more but we're so spoilt, we don't appreciate good weather as much as we should :)
We've been getting out too, it is spring break for us. Love that the weather has cooperated.
And that swing video, hilarious! Looks like they could do that all day:)
haha. LOVE their laughs on that video! it's awesome. isn't it funny how kids can just do the same thing over and over and over and over?
it was great having dinner the other night. i've been meaning to write a proper email, but just got home and have been trying to catch up on everything!!!
That is exactly how my girls have been swinging on their new playset. They have a hard time getting their little booties up in the swing properly, so they figured out this way works much better!
We are loving the spring weather too. We usually get about three weeks of proper spring before the heat sets in, so this year has been awesome.

We have been loving the outdoors so much recently, too!!! The girls are usually really excited to go for a walk...and they'll walk a good 1.5 miles, most days...and then they love to come home and RUN in the yard.
We've got to invest in some more outdoor toys. Any suggestions? They love their bubble mowers so much. They will also kick the soccer ball and try to blow bubbles.
I keep thinking about the little basketball goal, or some kind of bean bag toss? Those mini golf clubs? I don't know!
I do know I need a lawn chair to put on the driveway. Having mama standing there (when I'm not sprinting after them) gets tiring! ;)
We LOVE being outside, too! We've taken several long visits to the park on our weekends. Both are great for walking and riding bikes AND taking a stop at the playground. My favorite one has a 1.25 mile track around it that is great for running and biking - I run while the kids bike, then they play on the playground afterwards. There's a small inner track too that if I just have the twins, I can let them play while I keep running that small track near the playground and keep an eye on the them. Not ok to let Adam have that much free reign yet but it works well if I just have 2. Got 2 runs in there this week! :-)
We had all that nice weather and got hit with some cold weather this week. But, it will return again soon.
Now you need to teach them to sit on the swings and turn the swings so the chain tightens, put their feet off the ground and let it spin them in a circle really fast.
Nothing better then the sound of a childs laughter. Esp. belly laughs like when they were swinging.
Also, when did they grow up from toddlers to big kids?
